3. Debate Visibility and Privacy

Important: By default, your debates and debate history are visible to other users in the DebatePro community. This enables:

  • Community members to learn from high-quality debates
  • Discovery of interesting debates through leaderboards and featured content
  • Transparent skill assessment for tournament qualification
  • Fair matchmaking based on historical performance

When debates are visible to the community:

  • Your public username is displayed (not your email or other personally identifiable information)
  • Debate transcripts, arguments, and results are viewable by authenticated users
  • Your debate statistics and rank are visible on leaderboards
  • Debates may be featured or highlighted as educational examples

Private Debates: In the future, we plan to offer an option to make all your debates private. Please note that:

  • Private debates will not be visible to other community members
  • Users with only private debates may be ineligible for tournament participation, as public debate history is preferred for fair tournament qualification assessment
  • Private debate settings can be managed in your account preferences

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share information with:
